Rygden West is a contemporary art project devoted to reimagining Buddhist iconography for the modern eye. Through the union of algorithmic process, photography, and painterly sensibility, the work translates ancient Eastern forms into a new visual lexicon—images of the Buddha that have never before been conceived. Each piece functions as both homage and disruption: a meditation on stillness refracted through the aesthetics of Western modernism. The result is a body of work that occupies the space between sacred and secular, presence and projection—a quietly radical re-awakening of the enlightened form for the age of machine vision.
With our thoughts, we create the world.
